Bill Keeble,
PT
Bill is the co-owner and director of Abilene Physical Therapy. A native of Abilene, he has 30 years of experience as a physical therapist in the hospital, home health and private practice settings.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Texas Tech University in 1975 and a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 1979.  He began his career with Hendrick Medical Center’s physical therapy department in 1979, later serving as assistant director. In 1985, Bill and his wife, Diane, established Abilene Physical Therapy to provide a patient-centered, personalized standard of care that can be difficult to achieve in large settings.

Bill has substantive experience treating a wide variety of injuries and conditions affecting muscles, joints and soft tissues. He treats patients with diagnoses relating to orthopedics, athletics, neurology, arthritis/rheumatology, and other specialties, both at the clinic and at patients’ homes via contracted home health services.

In 1995, Bill received the Warren Smyth Award for Outstanding Service from the Texas Physical Therapy Private Practice Association. Bill has been a member of the American and Texas Physical Therapy associations and served a two-year term as district chairman of the TPTA in 1984-85.

Abilene Physical Therapy is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.  Bill is a member of First Central Presbyterian Church and has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 10 years.


Mike Chauveaux, PT
Mike joined Abilene Physical Therapy as a partner in 1990. Originally from Claude in the Texas Panhandle, he has served in hospital acute care and home health settings, as well as in private practice in West Texas and New Mexico for more than 28 years.

 

Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from Texas Tech University in 1975. He is a 1979 graduate of the Texas Woman’s University School of Physical Therapy, with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy.

 

Mike has a special interest in Orthopedics, Aquatic Therapy and Industrial Medicine, with additional training through Isernhagen Work Systems. He is certified by Workwell Systems to perform Functional Job Descriptions, pre-employment screenings, and Functional Capacity Evaluations for businesses.

 

Mike has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Texas Physical Therapy Association since 1979, serving a two-year term as district chairman for the TPTA in 1986-87. He earned the Warren Smyth Award for Outstanding Service, given by the Texas Physical Therapy Private Practice Association, in 1999.


Krista Curtis, ATC, LAT
Krista joined the team at Abilene Physical Therapy in 2002 as a licensed athletic trainer and physical therapy technician.  Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, she moved to Abilene with her husband and now has two children.



Krista graduated from Grand Canyon University in 1999 with a degree in athletic training and was certified and licensed in athletic training in 2000.  Prior to her certification, Krista completed a three-year college athletic training internship, which gave her experience in on-the-field evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries, preventative and rehabilitative taping and bracing, and rehabilitation of injuries.


Krista began working in outpatient physical therapy in 1999 in Arizona. As an outpatient physical therapy technician, she has additional experience in the rehabilitation of pre-, post- and non-surgical orthopedic conditions, along with expertise in a wide range of rehabilitative taping techniques and the fitting of orthopedic devices.


Krista brings her specialized skills to benefit her patients by educating, encouraging, and helping them to realize their maximum potential.   As a valued member of the APT team, she is committed to Abilene Physical Therapy’s philosophy of providing individualized care and treatment.
